The 19th Annotation — also called the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life — is a version of the Ignatian "Exercises," but are designed for people who cannot be away for 30 days to do the Exercises as they were practiced originally. The 19th Annotation is done while people continue living their normal, every lives. The Exercises are extended over several months to a year or more while the retreatant commits to daily meditation on specific themes and the Examen, as well as to weekly spiritual direction. The 19th Annotation offers growth in prayer, healing and discernment... allowing the soul to grow in great freedom to follow Our Lord!
"For as strolling, walking, and running are bodily exercises, so every way of preparing and disposing the soul to rid itself of all the disordered tendencies, and, after it is rid, to seek and find the Divine Will as to the management of one’s life for the salvation of the soul, is called a Spiritual Exercise" - SE1.
